Update billing information

Updating your billing information depends on your payment method. You can check your receipt to see if you paid by card via Stripe (this will say “powered by Stripe”) or if you paid via PayPal.

If your card is expiring or expired

If the card for your monthly donation is expiring or expired, you can usually add a new card yourself.

If you paid by card via Stripe, visit the customer portal. Log in with your email address, then choose “Add payment method” to add your new card.

Similarly if you paid by PayPal you can sign into PayPal and update your billing method.

As an alternative, if for any reason you cannot add your new card details, please:

  1. Set up a new monthly donation using your new credit or debit card.
  2. Contact us and we can cancel the old monthly donation so that you receive no more emails about the expired payment card. (Don’t worry, you will not be charged twice even if you do not contact us. The reminder emails will eventually stop automatically too.)

Changing your monthly contribution level

When you set up a monthly donation, you will have chosen one of three levels of contribution: Young Oak, Majestic Oak, or Legendary Oak. If you wish to change your contribution level, for example because your financial situation has changed, please contact us and we can do this for you.

Alternatively you can cancel your current monthly contribution, and then set up a new monthly donation for the amount you wish.

Cancelling your monthly contribution

In most cases if you wish to cancel your contribution, you can do this yourself.

If you paid by card via Stripe, visit the customer portal. Log in with your email address, then choose “Cancel plan”.

Similarly if you paid by PayPal you can sign into PayPal and cancel your subscription within your PayPal account.

If for any reason you are not able to cancel your monthly contribution yourself, please contact us and we will process the cancellation for you.
